Summary of second half Autumn Term 2014

Oak Class have had an exciting half term of learning. They arrived on the first day back to find a mystery dinosaur bone had been delivered to their classroom. With it was a video message from Professor Dusty asking for their help to investigate the bone. After lots of observations, research in non-fiction texts and measurements, Professor Dusty was so impressed that he made them all trainee palaeontologists and sent them a whole museum of fossils to explore. They even participated in their own archaeological dig, unearthing and reconstructing a pteranodon and a velociraptor.

Oak Class were lucky enough to attend an afternoon at the Eltham College art gallery. They worked alongside the students to learn about and create abstract works of art with a range of materials, all inspired by different styles of music listened to while they created.
